I apologize, as I have not updated our medical blog in a very long time. I fully intend to, especially to document this journey, but the global pandemic sort of threw a wrench in things.

Amri had her transplant January 23, 2020 and we returned home to Texas midApril 2020. She is recovering well, but will continue being seen by NIH for the next two years, and by her local Dallas team for the next three years. Currently she has an appointment about once a month.

To learn more about our story, please see the Important Stuff column, below (left side). Our GoFundMe is still our active fundraising site.

Please feel free to share our pages, just be sure to include a note about how you know us. Thank you!

Update 5- Home Again

We returned from Amri's fertility preservation trip to the National Institutes of Health (Maryland) October 11. The 2 weeks since then have been jam packed- Amri with band performances and catching up at
school and her first anniversary with Brad (she always does a picture with her Daddy when she has a big dressy event),

and I've been frantically trying to finish the girls' Halloween costumes - this is my 18th year to handmake them- and we've been dealing with a leak and subsequent minor-ish flooding to both of the kids' rooms. So, I apologize that this isn't a proper update, but I promise that after Halloween is over and the girls' rooms are put back together, I will properly update everyone! Thank you so much for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers!
